Dinner Out on a Budget

All of us mom's need a night off sometimes so we work very had to make it affordable as possible. I've come across a few reasonable deals in the dinning out world. If you know of any others, please let me know!




McDonald's: Sunday and Wednesday are 49c Hamburgers and 69c Cheeseburgers and now on Tuesday's and Thursday's Hamburger Kids Meal are $1.99 each.

Steak-N-Shake: Lately my Sunday newspaper has had tons of coupons sheets, you can use more than one coupon per table. Plus on Weekends for every $8 you spend you get a few kids meal. Right now they have Sweet Tea for $1 too. ~We went yesterday and our total was $17.xx for 2 adults and 2 kids, which includes the milkshakes. Used a few coupons and left a $5 tip.

Texas Roadhouse(My fav): On Tuesday nights from 4-8 is kids night, kids eat for only 99c! Well on every weeknight they have an early bird menu from 2-6, some meals are only $7.99 each including the Chicken Critters and the Small Steak dinner. ~So go between 4-6pm on Tuesday's to take advantage of both deals..Order ice water to drink and both my husband and I order from the Early Bird Menu and the kids both eat for $.99 each. So about $20 for a family of four to dine out.

TCBY: Wednesday nights from 5-8pm is 99c Waffle Cone Wednesdays...we make it a date, every last Wednesday of the month we have a very early dinner(at home) and go for an ice cream date!

French Toast

Let me tell you about a love of mine!! French Toast.... I love every cranny that the syrup can get trapped in and I love how you can do SO much with the way it's made. I've NEVER used a recipe to make French Toast, and my mom taught me at a young age that a rough "mixture" of two eggs and a cup of milk can make any bread into some breakfast goodness. Try these easy alternatives to change up your morning meal!

Additives (try adding a teaspoon these to the "mixture"):

Sweet

-Cinnamon

-Vanilla Extract

-Coconut or Almond Extract

-Pumpkin Pie Spice

-Cocoa Powder

-Cardamon

Savory

-Rosemary

-Chili Powder

-Soy Sauce

Bread Options(Think outside the white bread box):
